The Governing Council will be invited to adopt the consolidated budget for 2025.

Appointment of two internal auditors for 2025

Amendments to the IPU Statutes and Rules
The Governing Council will be apprised of the work of the Working Group and called upon to
examine the proposed amendments to the IPU Statutes and approve the proposed amendments
to the Rules of the Governing Council.

Update on IPU policies
(a)
Priority theme 2024 – Peace and Security: Findings and the way forward
The Governing Council will be apprised of the implementation of the priority theme for
2024. It will also be informed of the initiatives related to the priority theme for 2025.
(b)
Code of Conduct for IPU Governance Officials and Policy to prevent and address
harassment, including sexual harassment, at IPU Assemblies and other IPU events
The Governing Council will be informed of the outcome of the review of the Executive
Committee of the implications and practical ways of effectively implementing these
policies.
(c)
Adoption of the IPU Charter on the Ethics of Science and Technology

Future inter-parliamentary meetings
The Governing Council will be called upon to approve the list of future inter-parliamentary
meetings, as recommended by the Executive Committee.

IPU Task Force on the peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine
The Governing Council will receive an update on the activities of the Task Force.
15.
Reporting by Member Parliaments on IPU-related activities
The Governing Council will hear a report based on responses received from Member
Parliaments on follow-up to IPU resolutions and other decisions.

Activities of committees and other bodies
The Governing Council will hear the reports of the following bodies and committees and will
hold elections to fill any vacant seats:

Elections to the Executive Committee

The Governing Council will elect one member of the Executive Committee to replace
Ms. B. Argimón (Uruguay) whose term ends at the 214th session of the Governing Council.
