Statement by Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary on the Council
Decision authorising enhanced cooperation in the area of financial transaction tax
Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary respect that a financial
transaction tax is a question of high political priority for several Member States and therefore
support the authorisation. We expect that the interest of non-participating Member States will
be considered in the forthcoming work on the tax proposal, once the enhanced cooperation
has been authorised.
