Inquiry regarding Impact Assessments of Projects under the EU’s CohesionPolicy for the Next Programming Period 2014-2020Dear Vice-President Šefčovič,In the Danish Parliament the European Affairs Committee has debated theamended proposal for the Regulation laying down common provisions on theEuropean Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohe-sion Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and theEuropean Maritime and Fisheries Fund covered by the Common StrategicFramework and laying down general provisions on the European RegionalDevelopment Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund(COM(2013) 246) and the connected proposals. A question surfaced duringthe debate:Will the Commission carry out impact assessments for the projects under theCohesion Fund and the Structural Funds in the period 2014-2020?I hope the Commission will be able to respond to this inquiry and thus contri-bute to the Danish Parliament’s considerations on this matter.Yours sincerely,
