In our capacity as Chairmen of the Committees on European Affairs of the Senate and the House of Representatives
of the Netherlands, we have the honour to invite you to attend the 55th (LV) meeting of the Conference of Parliamentary
Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC).
The meeting is organised in the framework of the parliamentary dimension of the Dutch Presidency of the Council of
the European Union, and will take place in the Hall of Knights in The Hague on 13-14 June 2016 and will be preceded
by a welcome dinner on Sunday 12 June 2016. During the last chairpersons meeting of COSAC in February the topics
parliamentary diplomacy, rule of law and parliamentary scrutiny were selected as key subjects to be discussed at the
LV COSAC meeting.
