Dear Ms GJERSKOV,
Programme
I have the pleasure to invite you to a ground-breaking human rights
gathering that will take place in Vienna from 20 to 23 June 2016. The
cutting-edge
Fundamental Rights Forum 2016
will bring together
policy makers, opinion leaders, and grassroots workers in an
innovative and interactive manner to debate new pathways to
address Europe’s fundamental rights challenges.
In 2016, the Forum will focus on the issues of refugee protection,
inclusion and the digital age.
The Forum offers a major platform to reaffirm the commitment to
fundamental rights as the foundational value of the European Union.
The Forum will be attended by over 420 leading decision-makers and
experts from EU institutions, EU member state governments and
parliaments, international organisations, business, academia and
civil society, the arts, media and professional groups; as well as, of
course, rights holders.
The Forum is organised in cooperation with the European
Parliament, the European Commission, the Netherlands Presidency
of the Council of the European Union, the Austrian Government, the
Council of Europe, the EEA & Norway Grants and the City of Vienna
under the patronage of the Austrian President, Heinz Fischer.
