&Form of address
It is my pleasure to invite you to the informal meeting of the members of the European Council on
12 February 2015.
Our meeting will be dedicated to three major themes: the fight against terrorism, the situation in
Ukraine and relations with Russia, and the Economic and Monetary Union.
We will start at 13h00 with the traditional exchange of views with the President of the European
Parliament; we will use this exchange to come back to the important issue of the European PNR.
This will be followed by the family photo.
Right after the family photo, we will resume our meeting on floor 50 where President Poroshenko
will brief us on the developments in Ukraine.
We will then go to floor 80 for our working lunch, where the members of the European Council will
discuss the situation in Ukraine and relations with Russia. We will assess the situation and
consider any appropriate action.

We will then turn to the fight against terrorism, in the light of the Paris attacks and latest events.
I have asked some colleagues to share their experience in fighting terrorism. We will agree a
statement setting out the political orientations that will guide further, intensive work in the coming
months.
Finally, we will look at the issue of better coordination of economic policies within the Economic
and Monetary Union. I have invited the Presidents of the European Central Bank and of the
Eurogroup to join us for this discussion, ahead of the report by the four Presidents foreseen for
June. I have also asked the President of the Eurogroup to debrief us on the procedural aspects
concerning discussions on Greece within the Eurogroup.
I look forward to meeting you.
&Salutations
