Dear Chair, dear Colleague,
In the framework of the parliamentary dimension of the ongoing EU Council presidency,
the Parliament of Romania will organize a meeting on Common Agricultural Policy and
Cohesion Policy in Bucharest, at the Palace of Parliament, on 19-20 March 2019.
Given the challenges that these policies are currently facing, we took the opportunity to
provide an inter-parliamentary platform for discussions. The aim is to contribute to the rich
and complex debates on these topics and to table parliamentary views on the future
budgets for cohesion and agricultural policies, the public support for small farmers, the
food chain and territorial competitiveness.
In this respect, we are pleased and honoured to invite you and your delegation to attend
this conference. For practical purposes, kindly note that we are ready to welcome up to
four members per national parliament, two per chamber in case of bi-cameral
parliaments.
