Inter-parliamentary Conference on Asylum and Immigration Issues

On behalf of the Parliament of Finland, we have the pleasure to invite you to at-
tend the
Inter-parliamentary Conference on Asylum and Immigration Issues,
which will take place on 8
–
9 September 2019 in Helsinki as a part of the Finnish
Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The general theme of the Finnish presidency is “From discussions to solutions”.
In this spirit, delegations are invited to discuss the present state and future of im-
migration and asylum policy in the European Union.
Please find attached the draft program of the Conference and the general infor-
mation regarding this event. Kindly take note of the hotel reservation and regis-
tration deadlines. Further information concerning the event will be sent to delega-
tions in due time.
