I have been writing this
email
with attached documents in order to draw your attention to the
worsening conditions of Turkey prisons. The more this authoritarian government in Turkey
leading by Erdogan deepen his attidude towards a fascist regime, the more ten thousands
political prisoneres have permanently been faced with torture, isolation and all sorts of
degrading treatments. Particularly in these times of corona, the situation has been worse and
worse, we have so grave concerns about the prisoners.
On the other hand, in İmrali prison, Ocalan and his three fellows have been exposed the
worst imprisonment conditions ever lived at this time over the world. European Council's
regarding committee has already published his alarming report two months ago. In page 23
you can read all the details.
We believe that pushing our governments to press on Turkish authorities regarding to this
problem will automatically direct Turkey towards democracy, human rights, transparency
and accountability. It will definitely deter Turkish government to increase the level of her
anti-humanitarian policies.
Ocalan is a person of peace, negotiation and dialogue which he has already proved it during
the 2013-2015 peace talks, which was named as a Turkey Democracy Spring. We believe
that if the lawyers and any sort of dialogue will be able to start with Ocalan, this
deteriorating situation will change towards sustainability.
