Dear Colleague,
I have the pleasure to invite you to the COSAC Chairpersons Meeting, which will be held
within the framework of the Parliamentary Dimension of the Portuguese Presidency of the
Council of the European Union (EU).
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic situation, it won’t be possible to welcome you in Lisbon.
Nevertheless, we are looking forward to your participation in the meeting, set to take place
on Monday, 11 of January of 2021, in the form of a videoconference.
More than ever, it is important for Parliamentarians to contribute to strengthen the role of the
EU as a democratic global partner in overcoming the challenges ahead. This can only be
achieved through a common approach. I am convinced that your participation in this event
will significantly contribute to the debate, in particular to the discussion on the priorities of the
Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU, as well as on the recovery and resilience
of the European Union.
Please find attached the draft programme of the meeting. You will receive additional technical
information, along with other relevant details, in advance of the conference.

4 of January of 2021.
