Invitation to Inter-parliamentary Committee meeting on
“The
EU's Subsidiarity
mechanism”, Brussels, Monday, 25 April 2022, 13.45 - 15.45 (Brussels time zone),
and by remote participation
Honourable Chairperson,
I am pleased to inform you that the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI)
will organise an Inter-parliamentary committee meeting with National Parliaments on 25 April
2022 in Brussels, and by remote participation, on
“The EU's Subsidiarity mechanism”;
please
note that the format of the meeting (in person/hybrid/remote) could be subjected to changes.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss the efficiency of the subsidiarity mechanism in the EU and
enable a space for discussing the topic with the main actors involved.
The JURI Committee would like to invite Members of National Parliaments to the Inter-
parliamentary Committee Meeting to share their views and experience while giving an essential
contribution in the discussion.
I am therefore pleased to invite up to four Members of the relevant committee(s) from each
National Parliament (two from each Chamber in the case of bi-cameral Parliaments) to attend
this meeting.
Practical details regarding the meeting will be forwarded in due course to the services of your
Parliament, responsible for relations with the European Parliament.
