Invitation to Inter-parliamentary Committee meeting on “The debt crisis in
developing countries”, Brussels, 14 June 2022, 14.45 - 17.45 (Brussels time
zone), and by remote participation
Dear Chair,
I am pleased to inform you that the European Parliament’s Committee on Development (DEVE)
will organise an Inter-parliamentary committee meeting with National Parliaments on 14 June
2022 in Brussels, and by remote participation, on “The debt crisis in developing countries”;
please note that the format of the meeting (in person/hybrid/remote) as well as the duration
could be subject to changes.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss the debt crisis in developing countries and enable a space
for discussing the topic with experts and stakeholders involved.
The DEVE Committee would like to invite Members of National Parliaments to the
Interparliamentary Committee Meeting to share their views and experience while giving an
essential contribution in the discussion.
I am therefore pleased to invite up to four Members of the relevant committee(s) from each
National Parliament (two from each Chamber in the case of bi-cameral Parliaments) to attend
this meeting.
Practical details regarding the meeting will be forwarded in due course to the services of your
Parliament, responsible for relations with the European Parliament.
